Web Site Coming Soon

The studio is humming and in a few weeks my new web site will be up and filled with images starting with my early work through to the present. It will be easy to navigate and I will be able to show and share all the things I am doing.

New Space/New Light

From the Architect Michael Zenreich's website are photos of my new loft. For those of you who knew my Chambers Street loft, you can see that this is airier and more spacious. Zen designed it, he's a genius, exactly to my specifications. Today The New York Times has a story about how this legacy of space came to me. Enjoy all the pics and a wonderful article by writer/editor Suzanne Slesin.

For a view of my neighbor, artist Roz Leibowitz's, loft, visit Zen's site and look at how he interpreted her space for her. The vocabulary is the same but the specifics are different. We both benefitted from an unusually perceptive and talented architect (who is also a painter!). He understood an artist's unique requirements, highly personal and very particular, and gave us spaces that accommodated our every need.

100 New York Painters just released by Schiffer Publishing

My work is included in a new book, 100 New York Painters, by Cynthia Maris Danzic. It is available now in bookstores and through Amazon (there'a the link on this page). Each spread includes a photo of the artist and images of his/her work in color. In this difficult task of choosing from so many painters, Danzic has given a broad overview of contemporary painting in New York. I hope you will add it to your collection.
